The Great Lakes Observing System supports buoys around the Great Lakes.
Those buoys are often funded initially through grants paying for procurement and a year or two of operation, but not ongoing deployment. In order to leverage the initial investment into long term, meaningful data collection in the Great Lakes GLOS passes money on to those who deploy the buoys and share information, but we can’t do it alone.
Donate today and support observations in your region through one of the links below. You can even become a fundraiser yourself, and use our design template to begin your own campaign on behalf of observations in the Great Lakes.
Adopt-a-Buoy gives those who wish to support buoys in the Great Lakes an easy way to do so. GLOS is a 501C3, so donations are tax deductible, and donations go towards filling gaps in funding for these important monitoring tools.
