Point Query Tool (PQT) – currently down | Some functionality returning in 2020

Workaround:

  • Fill out this form courtesy of Greg Lang of the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory.
  • OR if you need the latest nowcast or forecast data, consider using our THREDDS data server.
  • OR email support@glos.org with the point, parameters, and date range you’re looking for, and our team will do their best to pull the data for you.

Why is it down?

The Point Query Tool was developed many years ago and didn’t survive the migration to the cloud last year due to incompatibility with the new system. These things happen, unfortunately.

We recognize that the tool is still very valuable to many doing important work and are developing a new solution.

What’s next for the tool?

GLOS is developing a new information technology platform. Due to the importance of the PQT functionality, the team will be focusing early development effort on making model data available.

To help the team develop the right functionality in our new platform please complete this short (4-6 minute) survey.
