This GLOS-sponsored webinar will provide an overview of the proceedings of the 12th Marine Technological Society Buoy Workshop, which was hosted by NOAA-GLERL, CIGLR and GLOS on April 9-11 in Ann Arbor. The workshop is held bi-annually to review the state-of-the-art in moored observing system capabilities, and draws presenters and attendees from around the world.
During the webinar, our panelists Steve Ruberg, Tom Johengen, Jamey Anderson and Ed Verhamme) will share takeaways relevant to the Great Lakes – such as innovations and lessons learned regarding buoy power supplies, satellite communications, and even shackle selection. We will look for your feedback and also discuss potential follow-up opportunities for the Great Lakes observing community.
